A little about me

Hi, I'm Darien.

I’m comfortable challenging the status quo, especially when “that’s how we’ve always done it” is costing people time, our most finite resource. I look at technology and business processes together, because automating an inefficient workflow can make it faster without making it better. Sometimes the answer is automation or AI; other times, it’s removing an unnecessary step.

At Cloud First Consulting, I focus on improvements that save time without overlooking security or the people doing the work. You know your business; I’ll bring questions, a fresh perspective, and honest advice. I want you to understand the recommendations, weigh the tradeoffs, and feel confident that the changes we make are worth the effort.

Let's talk about your goals

The working relationship

What you can
expect from us.

Communication

You'll know where things stand.

We'll agree on a rhythm for updates. We'll raise blockers early and discuss changes that affect scope or timing before they become surprises.

Collaboration

Your team has a voice.

We'll work alongside the people who know your systems and depend on them. There will be room to ask questions, flag concerns, and give feedback as the work develops.

Boundaries

Respect for your information.

We'll agree on what access the work requires and who can approve it. Sensitive information should stay in the right systems, not be shared more widely for convenience.

The project

From the first conversation
to day-to-day use.

Understand the work.

Walk through the current workflow, identify dependencies, and establish a starting point for measuring improvement.

Agree on the scope.

Set priorities, define the deliverables, and document responsibilities, budget, and acceptance criteria.

Implement and hand over.

Build and test the agreed solution, then prepare the documentation and training needed to run it.

Review the result.

Compare the outcome with the starting point, address remaining issues, and identify any worthwhile follow-up work.
